Lhotse

The successful climbing to Mt. Lhotse was made by Swiss on the West Face in 1956.Though many group tried this South face many times, it was successfully climbed only in 1984 by Czech Expeditions Group. The section during the climb which has been unanimously declared the most dangerous is the Khumbu Icefall.

“Lhotse” which means south peaks is part of the Everest massif. By virtue of it being 3km south of Mount Everest, from which it is separated by the South Col. It is considered an independent mountain. It was first climbed by F. Luchsinger & E. Reiss in 1956. An impressive ring of three peaks make up the Lhotse massif: Lhotse East or Middle, Lhotse & Lhotse Shar. The South Face of Lhotse is one of the largest mountain faces in the world. We attempt to climb the normal route to the tallest peak of the Lhotse massif.

Like the other expedition the Lhotse Expedition is also termed among the strenuous expedition.

Everest South Col

Though Everest, the highest mountain in the world has been conquered many times in these 50 years since the first conquest in 1953 by Sir E. Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, it is still magnificent, mysterious and beguiling as ever. This mountain has many names: – Chomolungma, Sagarmatha, Qomolungma or Mt. Everest and stands incredibly tall against the shared sky of Nepal and Tibet.

Up to Base Camp, you will have tea houses (lodges) trek with suitable three times hot meals. But the exact expedition begins at base camp with a short walk along the moraine that leads to the icegall. The icefall is fixed and maintained with rope and ladders all the way to Camp I. From Camp I to Camp II, the air is much thinner as we make our way up the Lhotse face with mixed snow and ice to Camp III. From Camp III to the South Col the climbing is on easy to moderate mixed snow and rock leading to the South Col- Camp IV. Summit day starts around 11: 00 Pm the same day. Summit day starts around 11:00pm the same day up fixed ropes onmixed snow and rock to the south summit, then a short traverse to the Hillary step then all up here to the summit arriving around 9:00am. The decent from the summit to the South Col takes 3-5 hours.

Completion of this expedition is considered the greatest achievements in one’s life.

Yala Peak

Yala Peak Expedition is a climbing trip in the Langtang Valley lying at the Northern Part of Kathmandu. This Climbing is much more easier than other Peak Expeditions and anyone with normal trekking experience can perform this climbing.

we start our climb from Syabrubesi, a beautiful village in Langtang Valley after 05 hours drive from Kathmandu. We built our base camp on a meadow at 4,800 m and finally climb Yala Peak the next day. After then, the last 400 m is on ice so we will use crampons, ice axe, rope and other climbing gears. From the summit of Yala, we can see the clear view of Shishapangma (8,046m) and fulted Ganchempo (6,388m). After completion we return back to Syabrubesi and drive back to Kathmandu.

Though it’s a easy climb compare to other peak expeditions you can enjoy a spectacular experience here and a beginners can start their trekking career through Yala Peak Climbing.

Cho Oyu

Cho Oyu is the world’s sixth highest mountain with an altitude of 8,201m and it lies 28km west of Mt. Everest on the Tibetan Plateau. While climbing this peak you can experience the three main ridges- the Northwest, the Northeast and the Southwest.

The impressive Southwest face of the Cho Oyu, drew the attention of the first expedition to the Everest Himal organized by the British in 1921.But due to the lack of technical limits and difficult ridges of Cho Oyu no one could step the top. Finally Cho Oyu was successfully climbed in the post monsoon season of 1954 via the Northwest ridge by Austrians Herbert Tichy, Sepp Johler and Sherpa Pasang Dawa Lama. That same year, it was again attempted by a French Expedition group which include Mme. Claude Kogan, and although they were turned back at 7,600m, her altitude record for women lasted for many years.

Cho Oyu Expedition is among the difficult one, challenging and adventurous.Strenuous

Amadablam Peak

Amadablam (6812m), which is considered as the prettiest mountain in the world, hangs a glacier resembling a ‘Dablam’ – the sacred ornament box worn by ladies in the Sherpa Community. This beautiful peak lies alongside Everest in the heart of Khumbu Valley. The route we follow begins from Lukla (2850m). The climb is relatively safe in compare to other peak climbing in Nepal. But still the climb requires a strong mountaineering back ground and previous high altitude experience due to its vertical walls and sharp exposed ridges. The common route to climb Amadablam is from its south – west ridge. From base camp at 4500m , we will have to establish a minimum of three camps on the mountain to reach its peak.

Base Camp to Camp 1: To reach the first camp from base camp, the climbers have to pass the toughest and the difficult passing through the difficult saddle ridges; and then should turn to the north climbing up through the rocky ground and through the boulder.

Camp 1 to Camp 2: From Camp I – one has to cross the rocky bowl and should climb the ridge via to the fixed lines to Camp II.  From Camp II after crossing over severe rocks and ridge which lead you to a camp 2.

Camp 2 to Camp 3: The climbing route from Camp II is mostly with the steep mixed alley ways of rock & ice and snow. The route leads to the slope climb to snow ground and then passes through steep snow and ice tunnel then finally along the snow ridge go to Camp III Summit.  From here to the summit is steep climb on snow and ice to the right of a huge hanging glacier. Finally you reach the peak from where very charming sceneries of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Island peak, Makalu, Khumbu Himal and rest of the snowcapped surrounded mountains can be seen.
