Trip Overview
Tibet The Saga Dawa festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 4th Tibetan month and is one of the most important religious festivals celebrated in Tibet. This auspicious day coincides with three important events in Buddha's life namely his birth, nirvana and parinirvana (death). Since the Saga Dawa festival falls on the holiest month of the Tibetan calendar, it is believed that good deeds and prayers are multiplied thousand fold during this event. So we can see everyone immersed in prayers and trying to appease the gods.

Arrival Day. Pick up from airport and transfer to hotel.

Morning: - trip briefing and its preparations. Afternoon sightseeing to Swayambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Pashupatinath Temple.

Fly to Gongar Airport and transfer to Tsetang.

Drive to Lhasa via Samye and Dorje Drak Monastery.

Visit Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery.

Explore Norbulhinkha Palace, Jokhang Temple and Sera Monastery.

Day 8
Drive to Nam Tso Lake and Tashi Do Hermitage.

Day 9
Drive to Shigatse via Gyantse.

Drive to Lhatse via Shakya Monastery.

Drive to Saga

Drive to Paryang.

Drive to Mansarovar Lake.

Trek to Diraphuk (4900m).

Cross over Dolma La Pass (5600m) and trek to Zutulphuk (4830m).

Observe Saga Dawa Festival and drive to Manasarovar Lake.
