Trip Overview

Marshyandi River is termed as the Nepal’s largest and longest river. Starting from the Mt. Kailash, in Tibet, it descends through the Nepal region passing the high passes, gorges and forests. The Marshyandi River rafting ranges from class III to V and it’s a remote white water experience. We cross near to 180 kilometers and during this rafting trip, we won’t be able to see any signs of the modern world. Though it’s a challenging trip, the wildlife, green vegetation and remote experience will make the memorable experience in your lifetime.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Kathmandu-Arrival

Our staff will meet you at the airport. Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Day 2

    Besisahar-Khudi

Early in the morning we take our private car and drive to Besisahar (08 hours). Here we will unload all our rafting equipment and with the help of our carrier and travel guide / chef we will head to Khudi where we set up our camp.
  • Day 3

    Ngadi

After breakfast, we leave for a few hours to our point Ngadi. Lunch will be served, all our rafting equipment will be prepared and our travel leader will inform you and take you on land about safety and paddling. This is the most articulated section of the river, so enjoy it. We encounter rapids like Instant Karma, Twinkie, Adrenaline, and Mama's Big Butt by Bhulbhule. We finish today and return to Khudi.
  • Day 4

    Besisahar

Starting today, you will continually bumping into the difficult rapids. Crystalline blue water lowers like a waterfall, kilometer after kilometer, with lush jungle clinging insecurely to the walls of the canyon and surreal mountains hanging over the wooded ridges. You must run on these rapids and attack the intense rafting for the next 5 hours. Lunch will be provided on the way, and then continue the raft to the sandy beach below Besisahar, where you will make for the most comfortable night.
  • Day 5

    Bhotewodar

After breakfast, we hit directly in the white water. At Phaliya Sanghu, the river is sandwiched between vertical walls that rise 200 feet from a suspension bridge that crosses the river. For a short section after Phaliya Sanghu the river relaxes, the rapids are more open and nowhere so powerful. We end the day in Bhotewodar, where we camp on the banks in the cave of a shiva temple.
  • Day 6

    Bimal Nagar-Kathmandou

The river becomes very gentle and passes through a fortified gorge with birds and vegetation that can only be described as an air intake. We reach our starting point at Bimal Nagar at lunch time where our transportation is waiting for us to take us back to Kathmandu. In the evening, you can spend some relaxing time at the hotel or stroll through the city for some shopping.
  • Day 7

    Day of departure

Our office staff will drop you at the airport before the scheduled time.
