Trip Overview

The trip for this Arun River rafting begins and ends at Tumlingtar, tiny village with its small teashops and airstrip. Professional rafteror normal rafter who is fond of rafting can experience the rafting in Arun River which finally merges with the Saptakoshi, one of thebiggest river of Nepal, and finally it mixes with the river Gange of India. This is moderate standard rafting.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01

    Kathmandu Arrival

    Our staff will meet you at the airport. Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Day 02

    Tumlingtar

    You can choose one or the other way of flying or by road to get to Tumlingtar from Kathmandu. The camp must be installed in Tumlingtar itself. The afternoon could be spent visiting this small village with its small tea rooms and its airstrip. Briefing for the next day's trip in the evening.
  • Day 03

    Sabiya Khola

    After breakfast trekking for about two hours at a gradual pace until Sabiya Khola. Briefing for the next day schedule. Get the equipment ready to start early for the next day.
  • Day 04

    Megan Besi

    As soon as we arrive on the Tumlingtar River, we start at 9:30 am after breakfast. Today, it is a fairly sweet rafting except for small grade III / IV roughs.
  • Day 05

    Blithe

    Today will be more difficult than the day before. We meet a number of rapids one after the other. The first encounter is a quick left turn, before the Ranighat suspension bridge. A number of rapids follow after that; one after the other we finally camp near Blithe fast.
  • Day 06

    Chatra - Tumlingtar

    Today is quite smooth and relaxed compared to the day before. The Arun River now merges with the Sunkoshi River to form a confluence of the Sapta Koshi River, one of Nepal's major rivers. Float along Saptakosi for another half hour and we reach the site of a temple at Bara Chettra a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. From there, float for half an hour to Chattra. Our vehicle will be waiting for us, packing our belongings and returning to Tumlingtar.
  • Day 07

    Tumlingtar - Kathmandu

    As before, you can choose either way by plane or by road to return to Kathmandu. Free day to go shopping and visit the market.
  • Day 08

    Departure

    Our office staff will drop you at the airport before the scheduled time.
