Trip Overview

This is one of the closest treks to Kathmandu and consequently one of the more popular shorter treks in Nepal among all the trekkings. This route follows a well defined ridge to the north of the capital. It is a trek of contrasts passing through agricultural terraces, rhododendron forests, and open hill sides with breath taking views of the higher mountains. This trek is a relatively low altitude one and because it is close to Kathmandu, it is convenient yet surprisingly free of trekkers. From low altitudes, we have excellent views of mountains that include the Langtang range, the Annapurnas, Manaslu and even Everest on a clear day.
